We are looking for a dedicated Defense Paralegal to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves supporting defense litigation matters at a prominent law firm in Center City. As this is a long-term contract position, it offers stability and the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic legal environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and organize documentation for various defense litigation matters, including construction defect and insurance defense
  • Support handling high-volume matters and assist attorneys with drafting pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing time entries, and maintaining well-organized filing systems
  • Create and edit legal documents using tools like Adobe Acrobat and case management software
  • Handle billing functions and manage client communication efficiently
  • Maintain calendars and schedules, ensuring deadlines are met and workflow remains uninterrupted

Requirements

  • 2+ years of defense litigation experience
  • Candidates with bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate are highly preferred, but not required
  • Experience with Adarent CMS and/or Imanage preferred
