Job Description

A Clinical Negligence/Healthcare Litigation Solicitor is wanted for an excellent opportunity with a leading Top 100 law firm based in Leeds. Salary is negotiable dependant on experience. The successful Solicitor will run a full caseload of clinical negligence claims for NHS Resolution (formerly NHS Litigation Authority), NHS Trusts and other defendant clinical negligence clients.

  • Proven track record in a Defendant Clinical Negligence team within a similar commercial firm
  • Experience in running a full caseload of clinical negligence claims for NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts, and other defendant clinical negligence clients

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 4 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Strong experience managing clinical negligence matters on behalf of defendants (or complex claimant-side experience with a willingness to transition)
  • Excellent knowledge of the CPR and solid technical legal skills
  • Strong advocacy and case management experience
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, meet financial targets and deliver results
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated and capable of working autonomously when required
  • Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members is advantageous

  • Draft pleadings, reports and correspondence in line with service level agreements
  • Support junior team members and contribute to internal and external training and networking activities
  • Achieve billing and chargeable targets while maintaining exceptional client service standards
  • Stay up to date with legal developments and contribute to business development initiatives
