Job Description:

Are you a highly motivated individual looking to start or expand your aquaculture career? We are currently looking for a passionate and highly motivated individual to make a difference onboard the Company’s vessel, the Mowi Storr. The vessel will provide valuable service to our seawater sites at Caol Mor, on the Isle of Skye. The role is challenging, but ultimately very rewarding and can lead to a variety of fulfilling career progression opportunities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform any combination of duties aboard the vessel including lookout, steering and engine-room watches
  • Treatment, harvest, grading and mooring assistance
  • Loading, unloading and handling of deck cargo
  • Reporting and liaising with farm management
  • Maintain the vessel to a high standard
  • Inspection and maintenance of equipment and facilities around the farm
  • Monitoring and maintaining fish health, welfare and bio-security
  • Boat handling around the farm
  • General farm tasks to keep the whole operation running

Requirements:

  • STCW & RYA certification is required
  • ML5 or ENG1 Medical certificate is required
  • Drivers licence is essential
  • Flexible approach to working to meet the demands of the job
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to understand the aims of the site and to support the rest of the team to achieve these
  • Respect for the need for safe working practices

Nice to have:

Experience is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided
