Deckhand - ERRV

• Execution of duties as designated by watch keeping rota
• Responsible to the Watch Keeping Officer on Watch for any / all duties
• Responsible to the Coxswain when engaged as a Rescue Craft crew member
• Should be familiar with the use of Breathing Apparatus and possess basic Fire Fighting Skills
• Forming part of both the vessel's on board Emergency Response team, and Rescue Craft's whereby applicable
• Monitoring safe working practices of shore contractors during periods of maintenance
• Actively promoting and progressing the company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Policy
• Actively promoting inter-departmental communications

• Must hold OPITO ITSO (or Medical Aid and Rescue Care) and OPITO FRC Boatman certification
• Minimum of 6 months relevant sea time
• Worked as a Deckhand previously, preferably on an ERRV vessel
• STCW Personal Survival Techniques (A-VI/1-1)
• STCW Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention (A-VI/1-2)
• STCW Elementary First Aid (A-VI/1-3)
• STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (A-VI/1-4)
• Seafarers medical
