The Portfolio Credit Analytics & Strategy team is at the forefront of shaping Barclays’ unsecured lending strategies through rigorous data analysis and actionable insights. Working closely with senior leaders across Product, Finance, and Risk, the team drives strategic recommendations on Product, Affordability, and Securitization, with a strong focus on analytical quantification.

Job Responsibility

  • Identification and extraction of relevant data from various internal and external sources
  • Performing sensitivity analysis and scenario planning
  • Monitoring and evaluation of the performance of existing models
  • Development and implementation of data quality control procedures
  • Building and validation of quantitative models to support decision-making across different business areas
  • Extract meaningful insights from complex data sets, developing robust decision models, and presenting actionable recommendations to stakeholders

Requirements

  • Really strong data skills using SAS, SQL & Python
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to evaluate data, identify patterns and trends, and generate insights
  • Attention to detail to ensure data accuracy, validate assumptions, and identify inconsistencies
  • Hands-on experience in developing predictive statistical models, forecasting techniques, machine learning & Risk-Reward models
  • Solid proven experience in making strategic recommendations through analytics in Unsecured lending (Cards/Loans/Overdrafts), Banking, Retail, eCommerce or pharmaceutical domains
  • Critical and strategic thinking to solve complex business problems, assess trade-offs, evaluate risks, and develop data-driven solutions
