The Maritime Decarbonisation Team is expanding, and we are looking for a motivated Data Analyst & Researcher to join us. This role is ideal for someone passionate about energy efficiency, decarbonisation, and data‑driven problem‑solving within the maritime and energy sectors. You will provide analytical and research support to our decarbonisation projects, contributing to consultancy services focused on energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and technology assessment. The role combines technical research, data analysis, fieldwork, and client‑facing activities.
Job Responsibility:
Research decarbonisation technologies (e.g., OPS, BESS, hybrid/electric vessels, power management systems, operational measures)
Stay up to date with emerging regulations, technologies, and energy‑efficiency practices
Use diverse research methods, including internet research, AIS/satellite data, stakeholder interviews, site visits, and data modelling
Prepare, update, and validate datasets and data models
Ensure project deliverables meet required data specifications and identify potential risks
Analyse and interpret data to produce clear, client‑focused reports and summaries
Undertake client visits, surveys, and audits on vessels, ports, terminals, and industrial facilities
Support business development through proposal contributions and client presentations
Comply with all company QHSE policies and procedures.
Requirements:
MSc/MEng in a STEM discipline
Minimum 3 years’ experience as an analyst in the energy sector or academia
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Extensive data QA/QC experience
Ability to manage large datasets accurately
Understanding of energy systems, energy conversion, and energy efficiency fundamentals
Strong communication and data‑visualisation skills
Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities
Advanced Excel capability
Strong interest in energy, decarbonisation, and continuous learning
Self‑motivated, energetic, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Flexibility to travel and work at various locations within the region as needed.

Electrical engineering background
Energy management systems qualifications
Experience in maintenance engineering or maintenance build projects
Programming skills (VBA, SQL, Python)
Power BI or other BI tools
Maritime sector knowledge
Experience with industrial energy management systems or audits
