Job Description

Profound is on a mission to help companies understand and control their AI presence. In our Deal Operations role, you will improve sales velocity and close rates by establishing a tight, scalable close process. You will own key processes that ensure deals are booked cleanly and efficiently, and partner across Sales, Legal, Finance, and Product to build a world-class deal operations engine. AI is changing the way we work. This role is ideal for someone who is or can become a domain expert in the deal process and is excited to deploy technology to scale and automate much of this work. This includes building knowledge bases, testing search and retrieval systems to surface relevant data, and reducing the manual work traditionally handled by sales through thoughtful systems design.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive completion of information security and security questionnaires for enterprise prospects
  • Build a process for easily completing data processing agreements and other contract-related documentation
  • Own the CPQ process from configuration to quote to close
  • Build and maintain a knowledge base and answer engine to make requests for information such as RFIs and RFPs highly efficient
  • Own the process for completing RFPs and complex deal documentation
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end booking process to maximize rep efficiency and ensure deals are booked cleanly and on time
  • Identify and implement process improvements that accelerate deal velocity and improve close orchestration

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in sales operations, deal desk, deal operations, or revenue operations, preferably in a high-growth SaaS or enterprise software environment
  • Highly process-oriented with a track record of building and optimizing deal operations workflows
  • Strong technical fluency with CPQ tools, quote systems, contract documentation, and sales booking processes
  • Excellent partner cross-functionally across Sales, Legal, Finance, and Product to align on deal execution
  • Proactive, high-agency operator who takes ownership end to end and drives work through to completion
  • Strong intuition for deal velocity, close-rate improvement, operational excellence, and scalability

  • Support Sales and Sales Leadership on deal construction across new business, renewal, expansion, multi-year, ramped, multi-product, and non-standard commercial requests
  • Translate deal strategy into approval-ready constructs with clear value exchange, risk flags, concession logic, billing terms, contract timing, and implementation assumptions
