Job Description

The Deal Desk Deal Operations role will own the execution, optimization, and troubleshooting of programmatic deals built within Curator seats and distributed across multiple DSPs. This person will manage deals end-to-end - ensuring accurate setup, validating targeting and supply paths, monitoring pacing and spend, and rapidly resolving delivery issues. Acting as the operational bridge between trading, ad tech, sales, and client teams, this role requires deep hands-on knowledge of how DSPs transact with supply and audience segments, as well as the ability to clearly communicate technical issues to both internal stakeholders and agency buyers. This role is critical to unlocking incremental revenue by reducing under delivery, improving deal performance, and ensuring confidence in Genius Sports’ programmatic deal execution.

Job Responsibility

  • Own end-to-end execution of programmatic deals across Curator seats and DSPs
  • Validate deal setup, targeting, audience segments, inventory mapping, and pricing
  • Monitor pacing, spend, and performance
  • proactively identify, resolve under delivery issues
  • Troubleshoot technical and commercial issues across DSPs, SSPs, and curation platforms
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external partners when deal issues arise
  • Partner with Sales, Client Success, and Media Planning to ensure deals align with campaign objectives
  • Communicate complex technical issues clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders
  • Develop best practices and operational playbooks to improve deal reliability and scalability
  • Provide feedback to product and inventory teams on recurring issues or optimization opportunities

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in programmatic operations, deal operations, trading, or ad tech operations
  • Hands-on experience working with DSPs, SSPs, and curation tools
  • Deep understanding of programmatic deal transactions across supply and demand platforms
  • Proven ability to diagnose deal or audience spending issues and take corrective action
  • Experience troubleshooting pacing, delivery, and targeting issues in live campaigns
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical issues to sales and agency partners
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple live deals
