Job Description:

Perform housekeeping and janitorial duties in all areas of the distribution center. Communicates all custodial or housekeeping issues to maintenance supervisor, assistant maintenance supervisor, or DC management team. Perform maintenance duties for outside grounds of distribution center buildings.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform housekeeping and janitorial duties in all areas of the distribution center

  • Perform maintenance duties for outside grounds of distribution center buildings
  • Responsible for emptying trash containers, cardboard containers, and sweeping all floor areas of the distribution center
  • Operate floor scrubbing equipment and cardboard baler
  • Maintain all stations containing janitorial equipment such as brooms, dust mops, wet mops, mop buckets, etc.
  • Assist maintenance team in maintaining and organizing the tote repair area
  • Maintain supplies of paper products and hand cleaner in all restrooms and break room areas
  • Assist the maintenance department in maintaining building grounds such as snow removal, lawn mowing, trash collection, etc.
  • Assist the maintenance team with general maintenance duties, as required
  • Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 1+ years’ experience in custodial duties in a building, hotel, or distribution center
  • Must be able to multitask and work well in a team environment

Nice to have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Basic knowledge of grounds keeping (i.e. lawn mowing, weeding, trimming, etc.) and facility maintenance and equipment
  • Basic experience in operating lawn mowers, weed trimmers, etc.
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
