An Area Manager is a motivated, customer-focused position responsible for leading a team of hourly-workforce and maintaining Bob's core values. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in safety, quality, and performance to exemplify those core values and foster a positive culture of growth and development for all employees. You will collaborate closely with other team members to encourage a diversified workforce, maintain constant open communication throughout the operation, and protect customer expectations through sustained operations.
Job Responsibility

Lead efforts in safety, quality, and productivity to ensure customer satisfaction
Demonstrate proficiency in talent management by evaluating performance and completing employee reviews
Collaborate with other team members or departments to develop plans and navigate barriers to achieve business objectives
Utilize knowledge and expertise to define roles and priorities for your workforce
Continuously monitor and optimize team performance for efficiency using key performance indicators
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment with at least 2 years lead or management experience
Understanding of supply chain and distribution center operations
Experience in using a warehouse management system (WMS) – preferably SAP, as well as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position
Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment with Bob's
Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance
Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center
Move objects up to 250 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
Stand and walk continuously to perform job functions
Nice to have
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Prior experience in a high-volume retail or furniture distribution environment
Experience supporting peak-season operations with fluctuating volume and staffing
