Job Description

We are looking for a skilled DBA with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL / Oracle and AWS database services. The ideal candidate will focus on designing, optimizing, and evolving scalable database platforms, working with large datasets, automation, and infrastructure, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and high-performance data solutions.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, implement, and optimize Oracle / PostgreSQL databases
  • Plan and execute version upgrades, schema changes, and data migrations across environments
  • Work with large datasets (terabytes of data) and design solutions for high availability
  • Implement database automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code practices
  • Ensure database security, backup, and recovery processes are architected and validated in the cloud

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Oracle or PostgreSQL database administration (installation, configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting)
  • Strong knowledge of backup and recovery, replication, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Experience with AWS services
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Scripting experience for automation (e.g., Python, Bash)

Nice to have

  • Exposure to database monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
  • Experience with database performance optimization and query tuning
  • Experience managing large-scale, high-transaction databases
