Excellent knowledge of DB2 z/OS Database Support, including but not limited to the following: z/OS DB2 12 for zOS or higher in a production environment with high transaction rates
High availability 24x7 designs and techniques
Managing large data stores
DB2 V10 utilities setup and execution
DB2 performance and tuning
Data Modeling expertise – logical and physical design
Complex SQL coding / tuning
Data Warehouse design with an understanding of OLAP design and query solutions

Job Responsibility

Design and maintain DB2 Database applications which have the following characteristics: Design for high availability
Design for maximum performance
Maintain and develop techniques and procedures to provide 24x7 availability
Provide production and test database support in a complex environment
Perform all functions which are performed by a DB2 Database Administrator, such as: SQL code reviews
Performance Monitoring and Tuning DB2 at the application database level
Enforce appropriate DB2 security standards
Collaborate with the DB2 systems programming staff to appropriately manage DSNZPARM settings
Create, manage and support DB2 Stored Procedures, DB2 Triggers, and DB2 Referential Integrity
Create Change Requests, Resolve Service Requests, Provide 24x7 On call support
