Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Dayforce HCM Systems Administrator to support and optimize enterprise HR and payroll systems in Des Moines, Iowa. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex system issues, strengthening data reliability, and improving how integrated modules work together across a global environment. The role combines hands-on system administration with reporting, stakeholder collaboration, and end-user support to help maintain a stable and scalable platform.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as the primary administrator for the Dayforce environment, resolving system issues and maintaining dependable day-to-day operation
  • Investigate integration and configuration problems between modules and connected systems, and implement corrective solutions that improve system performance and data flow
  • Monitor data accuracy and system integrity, identifying discrepancies and taking action to prevent recurring issues
  • Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards that provide meaningful operational and business insights
  • Configure, test, and deploy enhancements and new functionality within the platform to meet evolving business needs
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into system solutions, and support process improvements
  • Provide training and ongoing assistance to end users, helping teams adopt system features effectively and resolve functional questions
  • Support global configuration standards, compliance expectations, and module administration across active regions and future system expansions

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in system administration, ERP, HCM, or HRIS environments
  • Hands-on experience administering Dayforce
  • exposure to comparable platforms such as Workday, UKG Ready, or UKG Pro is also valuable
  • Strong understanding of HR and payroll processes, system configuration, and data governance principles
  • Ability to create business reports, dashboards, and documentation such as business requirement documents
  • Experience troubleshooting integrations, mappings, and system connectivity issues across enterprise applications
  • Familiarity with configuration management, testing practices, and the rollout of new system features
  • Working knowledge of APIs, HCM platforms, or related cloud-based enterprise systems is preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with stakeholders and support end-user training needs
