Job Description

We provide childcare to families who want to provide their child with a loving and safe environment that is similar to home. Our mission is to assist children in developing critical social, emotional, and behavioral skills that will prepare them for a successful and happy future.

Job Responsibility

  • Greet children and parents as they arrive
  • Lead children in morning stretches
  • Help children organize their belongings and put them away
  • Lead children in singing, reading stories, and discussing the day's events
  • Help children transition to lunchtime
  • Serve and eat lunch with children
  • Lead children in creative activities such as arts, coloring, and painting
  • Help children clean up and organize their belongings
  • Lead children in calming activities such as stretching and deep breathing
  • Read stories and sing songs with children
  • Say goodbye to children and parents as they leave

  • Supervise children ages six months to 12 years old in the Kidstyles area
  • Organize and conduct activities in Kidstyles, on the Rock Wall, or special programs, such as camps, parties, rentals, gymnasium activities, and holiday events
  • Comprehend center and department rules, regulations and policies and enforce them when applicable
  • Know the center's Emergency Action Plan for accidents and injuries, missing children, fire/tornado safety, etc. and demonstrate that knowledge during in-services and drills
  • Supervise the KidStyles/Babysitting area and during all special programs
  • Maintain order and discipline by enforcing rules and regulations and using appropriate behavior management techniques
  • Interact with participants, utilizing available resources to plan activities that meet their recreational needs and create an atmosphere of fun
  • Plan activities and prepare the activity area prior to program/event/shift start
  • Perform daily duties including accurate record keeping, monetary transactions, implementation of activities, daily/weekly cleaning duties and equipment and supply of care
  • Follow closing duty procedures ensuring that all equipment and supplies are wiped down and/or put away in their proper place, sign in and statistical reports are turned in and the room is clean and neat for future use
