Day Unit Operations Manager for the Day Surgery, Endoscopy and Minors, and Day of Surgery Admissions department at Blackrock Clinic, a leading private hospital in Ireland. The role is a key member of the hospital management team, responsible for leading services and ensuring efficient patient flow.
Job Responsibility:
Identify patient flow pathways within the on the 5th Floor (and associated areas) and causative factors of delays and remove unnecessary constraints or delays
Take remedial action where necessary to improve patient flow and the patient experience
Collaboratively work with in house colleagues to best assign Staffing and resources to ensure efficient patient flow through the departments
Ensure that relevant timely data is available to support decision making and to assess quality improvement deliverables
Demonstrate managerial and leadership skills and facilitate effective communication with colleagues in the hospital
Take a strategic approach to the development of services and structures, embracing continuous quality improvement and the management of changes necessary to achieve organisational objectives
Lead the Daycare, Endoscopy and Minors service within Blackrock Clinic
Manage, plan, organise and co-ordinate all services relating to both direct and indirect care ensuring that resources are manged to meet the demands of all service and patient flow is maintained
Communicate with medical consultants, paramedical and appropriate senior administrative staff in your Unit and throughout the hospital
Support the philosophy, objectives and goals of Blackrock Clinic
Observe the appropriate lines of authority
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patients and the activities of Blackrock Clinic
Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in all areas of the hospital/clinic as required
Participate in developing and providing quality care within Blackrock Clinic
Assist in orientation of new personnel
Continue to develop personal knowledge and skills and seeks outside educational opportunities
Present a professional appearance and conform to the dress, hygiene and infection control policies of the Clinic
