Northeast Arc’s Day Habilitation (Day Hab) programs focus on the acquisition, retention, and improvement of self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills. Our individualized Day Hab plans are tailored to each participant’s personal goals and dreams. We weave clinical supports and consultations into daily activities through our team of nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. Our programs offer specialty subservices to participants, including medical supports and community integration. Participants engage in a variety of activities, including adaptive technology, community-based outings, and daily living skills development.
Job Responsibility:
Provide skills instruction and develop adaptive strategies to ensure optimal independence and success in achieving goals outlined in the day hab service plan
Assist individuals with all aspects of personal care, including toileting, mealtime preparation, and support
Understand the clinical and social needs of individuals receiving services
Serve as a positive role model, helping individuals develop expected behaviors and interactive skills
Provide crisis intervention as needed
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of one year experience working with intellectually and/or developmentally disabled adults
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
