As Day Porter, the aim is to ensure that all arriving and departing guests are taken care of to Chewton Glen’s standards.
Job Responsibility:
Greeting hotel and restaurant guests with confidence and providing 5 star service, creating a memorable impression
Be passionate and confident in conversing with all guests to establish a courteous, helpful and friendly attitude at all times
To be confident in transporting guests across the beautiful estate in our branded electric buggies, for a dinner reservation at The Kitchen or to our remote Treehouses
Ensure luggage is safely transported to guest suites and Treehouses, providing a timely service to guests
Acknowledge guests in a friendly and professional manner taking ownership of any requests they may have
Be part of the team by assisting reception and other departments when required
Keeping a professional eye on the public areas to ensure they are clean and tidy
To be intuitive and promote all services offered in the hotel, showing pride and passion for what your colleagues do
To take ownership working alone and as part of a team in a busy yet flexible department
Requirements:
Experience in high standards of face to face customer service
Full clean driving license is essential
Drive and passion to seek out opportunities to go above and beyond for our guests
Confidence, enthusiasm and passion for your work and communication with colleagues
A keen eye for detail, organisational skills and a flexible attitude
