Job Description

You will join our Singapore manufacturing team as a Day Operations Technician. You will operate and support production activities during the day shift to deliver safe, compliant and reliable supply. You will work closely with operators, engineers and quality colleagues to follow procedures, keep clear records and help solve routine problems. Job Responsibility

  • Operate production and supporting equipment safely and efficiently, following standard operating procedures
  • Perform routine inspections, basic maintenance, lubrication and simple repairs using hand tools
  • Prepare production areas and support changeovers and set-up tasks during the day shift
  • Collect in-process samples, perform basic checks and record results accurately
  • Maintain clear production records, logbooks and follow good documentation practices
  • Report equipment faults, suggest improvements and support basic root-cause activities
  • Work with the day shift team to meet production plans while prioritising safety and quality
  • Follow permit-to-work and site safety procedures at all times
  • Keep production areas clean and maintain good housekeeping standards
  • Participate in shift handovers, briefings and on-the-job training to stay current
  • Support materials handling, inventory movements and correct storage practices
  • Contribute practical ideas for efficiency and quality improvements and help implement agreed changes

Requirements

  • Minimum NITEC, ITE or secondary school qualification
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in manufacturing, production, or a technical trade
  • Practical experience operating or supporting production or utility equipment
  • Comfortable working on-site in a production environment and able to follow safety guidance
  • Clear written and spoken English and basic record-keeping skills
  • Willingness to work on-site full time on the day shift and support handovers

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or regulated manufacturing
  • Familiarity with good manufacturing practices and clear documentation standards
  • Basic troubleshooting skills and experience with simple problem-solving tools
  • Experience with materials handling equipment such as pallet trucks
  • Basic computer literacy for recording data and using production systems
  • Interest in developing toward specialist or supervisory roles

  • Owns monthly inventory cycle count initiation and variance follow-up
  • Perform routine inspections as the provider of floor shop oversight, quality checks, and in-process product inspections of finishing product areas
  • Interacts with manufacturing and supervision to address quality process or batch-related concerns
  • Performs process compliance audits of all manufacturing areas to ensure quality of product/process (TIQs) is achieved
  • Performs troubleshooting, works independently, and makes decisions based on general guidance and existing procedural requirements
  • Performs product functional testing in support of equipment validations
  • Identifies process improvements and escalates to Line Operations Supervision and/or Management
