Job Description

Day labourers are an essential part of the Lamontagne team! They perform a variety of tasks every day to ensure that the chocolates we produce are ready to ship. They work with other day labourers and operators at different production stations and rotate through every piece of equipment in the factory. Day labourers are responsible for anything and everything that has to do with packaging—from the empty boxes that arrive on the conveyor belt to the full boxes that are sealed, labelled, and stacked on a pallet. Our day labourers share in the satisfaction of making premium chocolate!

Job Responsibility

  • Perform a variety of tasks to ensure chocolates are ready to ship
  • Work with other day labourers and operators at different production stations
  • Rotate through every piece of equipment in the factory
  • Responsible for packaging—from empty boxes on the conveyor belt to full boxes sealed, labelled, and stacked on a pallet
  • Check conformity and quality of products
  • Prepare work environment for efficiency
  • Assemble boxes and bags
  • Ensure necessary equipment is in place
  • Conduct visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met
  • Communicate observations to the operator
  • Help tidy up work area
