Job Description:

Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Day Cook to join their team in the Global Energy sector, based offshore in Netherlands. As day cook you are responsible for the production and serving of meals at lunch and dinner per menu scope e.g., entrées, main dish, sauce, soup, side dishes garnish. You are responsible for the production is done in a safe way, according to legislative standards and Aramark procedures. The food must be prepared in both in an appealing way and with high quality standard.

Job Responsibility:

  • Production: Plan and produce according to menu scope plan with seasonal focus on taste and other senses. Food waste should be reduced as much as possible
  • Service: Make sure that full menu plan in timely served and be present at serving line to assist guests during opening hours
  • Reporting: Food safety programme to be filled out, participate in stock planning/ provision ordering and count
  • Check lists: Work with and follow check lists so all tasks are done effectively and in due time to meet deadlines
  • Quality control: Ensure that all food is compliant with company standards for taste, presentation and hygiene
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to secure a smooth and effective operation
  • Cleaning and maintenance: Ensure that galley and kitchen areas are kept clean and housekeeping is according to hygiene standards
  • Safety: operate under all offshore safety policies and procedures, participate in all required weekly training, join relevant weekly meetings

Requirements:

  • Hold relevant and valid offshore certificates
  • Professionally trained cook
  • Experience with offshore cooking or similar
  • Ability to work in a busy environment with deadlines where many tasks are ongoing at the same time
  • Strong team skills with a positive approach
