The role involves transporting vulnerable adults with advanced dementia and reduced mobility. Each minibus will have an escort who supports the drivers with pick up and drop off. The day centre offers care services for people with dementia, learning disabilities, adults over/under 65, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and substance misuse problems.
Job Responsibility:
Drive a minibus on residents outings, helping with activities and care team
Take full responsibility of minibus, including cleaning and facilitating maintenance
Transporting vulnerable adults with advanced dementia and reduced mobility
Supporting clients to live safer and supported lives in their own homes
Requirements:
Driver with D1 License (Required)
Confident and able to drive a minibus (9 seats)
Be a car owner with full driving licence, including full D1 section
Efficient, organised and experienced care professional
Passionate about providing the best care
Thrive on managing a team within a health and social care environment
Take pride in building relationships with clients and care workers
Driver with own vehicle (due to field based elements)
Be available for planned and unplanned driving, involving some weekends and on call work
