Job Description

The day audit position is responsible for verifying and reporting hotel revenues, reviewing paperwork submitted to Accounting to document these revenues, and preparing and publishing a Daily Revenue report for internal use by Hotel Managers to review financial performance and forecast future business levels.

Requirements

  • Maintain harmonious and professional relationship with co-workers and supervisors
  • Comply with and enforce Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct
  • Coordinate work with other functions within the Accounting Department
  • Communicate any instances where paperwork is at variance with Internal Controls
  • Communicate shortcomings in paperwork back to the originating department
  • Assist in covering guest inquiries to the Accounting Department
  • Collect/Audit paperwork from all revenue centers in the hotel
  • Ensure that accurate room revenue is captured, recorded, and posted
  • Ensure that accurate F&B outlet revenue, Banquet Food and Beverage Revenue, and F&B Miscellaneous Revenue are fully captured, recorded, and posted
  • Monitor and record all house account meals and entertainment expenses
  • Balance income against the respective ledger balances in the PMS system
  • Verify credit card settlements and transmissions to receipts in the bank
  • Update credit card reconciliations daily
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure post-departure allowances with all applicable backup are approved
  • Review the General Ledger accounts established to Record Room, Food & Beverage, Amusement, and General Sales and Value Added Taxes
  • Monitor the safeguarding of the hotel’s assets
  • Review daily void reports from the hotel’s F&B POS system
  • Track the sale and redemption of hotel gift cards
