Job Description

In our Prague office, we are collaboratively contributing to the development of a Multi-Tenant Warehouse, a project called Rainbow, which serves as a system for regulatory reporting of the whole KBC Group and its entities in 5 EU countries.

Job Responsibility

  • Execute and coordinate the deployment of changes across DWH environments (Integration, Acceptance, Production) and related technologies, ensuring smooth and reliable delivery
  • Handle and resolve straightforward deployment or environment-related issues reported by users or identified by monitoring tools
  • Support end-users and internal stakeholders by explaining deployment impacts, environment behavior, and basic troubleshooting steps
  • Continuously monitor DWH environments for irregularities, alerts, or early signs of technical issues to ensure stable operation
  • Log, categorize, and prioritize deployment-related tickets and track their progress through completion
  • Escalate complex deployment or environment issues to specialized teams, providing detailed technical context to speed up resolution
  • Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation covering deployment procedures, rollout steps, recurring issues, and standard troubleshooting paths
  • Perform routine environment health checks, execute maintenance activities to ensure readiness for deployments and prevent incidents
  • Collaborate with data integration teams, local entities, Service Desk, development and core automation teams to optimize deployments and resolve operational problems efficiently
  • Actively identify and propose improvements to deployment processes, monitoring, and support workflows to increase overall efficiency and reliability

Requirements

  • Understanding of DWH architecture, components, and their operational use within a multi-environment setup
  • Solid understanding of Git for source control and practical experience working with GitHub/Bitbucket as a code repository and collaboration platform
  • Basic experience with CI/CD automation tools, specifically GitHub Actions and Jenkins pipelines
  • Knowledge of specialized tools (SQL, query tools, basic Linux, Informatica monitoring ...)
  • Proficiency in reading logs and understanding structured file formats (XML and JSON) to support issue investigation and troubleshooting
  • Experience of working in Agile and Scrum (PI planning, sprints, ceremonies, etc.)
