Job Description:

A DataStage Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data integration solutions using IBM InfoSphere DataStage. This role involves collaborating with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to understand data integration requirements and translate them into effective and scalable DataStage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Experience in Middleware, Data Warehouse, Data Mart and Data Integration applications
  • IBM Infosphere DataStage experience, including experience with 11.7
  • Experience with IBM Infosphere Data Stage ETL tool
  • Migration of DataStage older versions to newer versions
  • Experience data warehouse solution designs supporting data stores such as ODS, EDW and DataMart
  • Working knowledge in UNIX shell scripting
  • Provide infrastructure operations support and administration of the 11.5 and 11.7 DataStage environments
  • Engineer and Install/OS upgrade Information Server product suite
  • Document Runbooks for the installs/upgrades and Disaster Recovery plans etc
  • Monitor the Infosphere suite (Data Stage/Quality Stage) servers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a DataStage Developer or in a similar role
  • Strong proficiency in IBM InfoSphere DataStage, including the development of parallel jobs
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and SQL
  • Familiarity with data integration best practices and ETL design patterns
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex data-related issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
