Job Description:

Join NTT DATA as a Data Center Technician, where you will manage datacenter environments, ensuring optimal conditions for equipment. Your role includes overseeing LAN/SAN connectivity, incident management, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields is required, along with moderate experience in network cabling and datacenter management. Proficiency in French is essential.

Job Responsibility:

  • Datacenter Environment Management: Possess knowledge of datacenter environments, including power, cooling, HVAC, structure, and access control
  • Ensure the efficient operation of datacenter infrastructure, maintaining optimal conditions for all equipment
  • Connectivity and Network Management: Have expertise in LAN/SAN connectivity
  • Oversee the installation, dismantling, and interconnection of network and security elements in collaboration with other teams
  • Monitoring and Incident Management: Conduct daily monitoring of environments, system surveillance, and incident management
  • Respond to and resolve incidents promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
  • Maintenance and External Coordination: Follow up on maintenance operations, coordinating and interacting with external companies (proficiency in French is important)
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are documented and communicated effectively
  • Reporting and Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive reports and documentation related to datacenter operations, configurations, and incidents
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Network, and Security, to ensure seamless integration and operation of datacenter systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Moderate level experience in network cabling installation and maintenance
  • Moderate level experience gained within a similar role and similar IT services organization
  • Proven expertise in datacenter management, including power, cooling, HVAC, and access control
  • Knowledge of LAN/SAN connectivity and network/security elements
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to perform well under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams in French and in English
  • Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating operational risks
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • The candidate must be native from a NATO country
  • Hold a valid NATO Secret Clearance is asset
  • Proficiency in French is essential
