DATABASE SALES EXECUTIVE – UK & EMEA. We're seeking a hunter mentality sales professional to drive VAST Database adoption across UK enterprise accounts. You'll be responsible for self-sourcing opportunities, managing complex sales cycles, and closing transformational deals with FTSE 250/350 organisations and public sector bodies. This is an individual contributor role where you'll own the full sales cycle – from prospecting through to close – working with CDOs, CTOs, CIOs, and data platform leaders who are building the next generation of AI-powered infrastructure.
Job Responsibility:
Self-source and develop pipeline within UK enterprise and public sector accounts
Execute consultative sales strategies for data warehouse, lakehouse, and AI database solutions
Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles (6-18+ months) with deal values of £100K-£3M+ ACV
Articulate VAST's unique value proposition for transactional, analytical, and vector database workloads
Collaborate with pre-sales engineering and partners to deliver compelling proof-of-concepts
Build relationships with UK systems integrators and channel partners
Coordinate with EMEA teams to support cross-regional opportunities
Requirements:
5-10+ years' enterprise B2B software sales experience selling database or data platform solutions
Proven track record of 100%+ quota attainment with £100K-£3M+ ACVs
Deep understanding of data warehouse, data lake, or database management solutions
Experience selling into large UK enterprises (>1,000 employees) and/or FTSE 250/350 accounts
Demonstrated ability to self-source opportunities and build pipeline independently
Strong consultative selling skills with technical buyer personas (CDOs, CTOs, VPs of Data)
Nice to have:
Early-stage start-up experience as first UK rep for a data/infrastructure company
UK public sector sales experience (NHS, central government, higher education)
Knowledge of G-Cloud frameworks and UK public procurement processes
EMEA sales exposure and ability to work across time zones
Familiarity with UK GDPR and data sovereignty requirements
Existing relationships with UK systems integrators
