Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Database GenAI & AI Specialist to join our dynamic team responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining intelligent AI agents to automate and enhance various aspects of database management. This role requires expertise in database internals, AI agent development, and natural language processing.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI agents engineered to automate and optimize database management tasks across various database platforms
Develop AI agents capable of continuous, intelligent monitoring of database performance metrics, resource utilization, and operational logs to detect anomalies and predict potential issues before they impact services
Design and implement agents that can automatically diagnose common database problems and execute predefined or learned remediation actions
Utilize AI/ML techniques to develop agents that analyze database workloads, identify performance bottlenecks, and recommend or automatically apply optimal configurations, query rewrites, or indexing strategies
Build agents to enforce database security policies, monitor for unauthorized access attempts, identify vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Implement natural language interfaces (using NLU/NLG) within agents to allow DBAs and developers to interact with and query database status, historical performance, and receive recommendations using plain language
Develop agents to automate data archival, purging, backup, and recovery processes based on policies and learned patterns
Integrate AI agents seamlessly into existing database ecosystems, monitoring tools, ITSM platforms, and CI/CD pipelines
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, deep learning, and database technologies, evaluating and proposing new solutions to enhance database manageability and efficiency
Create comprehensive documentation for AI agent functionalities, architecture, and operational procedures
Provide training and knowledge sharing to the database administration and operations teams
Develop proof-of-concepts and prototypes for advanced AI-driven database functionalities
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on AI and database best practices

Requirements:

10+ years of experience with significant exposure to both database administration/engineering and AI/ML development
Extensive hands-on experience with administration, tuning, and troubleshooting of at least two major database systems (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server, Hadoop, Caching technologies)
Proven experience in designing, training, and deploying machine learning models, particularly for anomaly detection, prediction, and optimization
Practical experience in building and deploying intelligent agents, automation bots, or similar AI-driven autonomous systems
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go
Solid understanding of database concepts including schema design, query optimization, indexing, replication, clustering, and backup/recovery strategies
Experience with machine learning frameworks and relevant libraries
Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) for enabling natural language interaction with systems
Familiarity with data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka) and Middleware technologies (Web hosting, messaging)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Database Administration, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical discipline
