Job Responsibility:
Working on projects based on PostgreSQL, data warehouses, and systems processing very large volumes of information
Co-developing a key banking application responsible for revenue management and stock reconciliation, working in a unique multi-cloud environment (AWS and GCP)
Developing competencies in DWH, data integration, and database solutions
Working on advanced PostgreSQL engine management, including MVCC mechanisms (Xmin/Xmax), Vacuum processes, and the selection of custom indexes such as BRIN
Requirements:
At least several years of experience working with SQL, PL/SQL, or PostgreSQL
Working with structures containing billions of records and terabytes of data, understanding how to ensure their efficient processing
Optimizing queries and long-running processes, even those lasting many hours
Ability to analyze query execution plans and quickly identify bottlenecks
Familiarity with working with stored procedures and the ability to use them effectively
Good knowledge of Python
Ability to handle L2-level performance problem solving
Ability to analyze data and problems from various sources
Ability to analyze system logs and use extensions such as pg_stat_statements to identify blocking processes and bottlenecks
Knowledge of data partitioning (especially by date) to optimize searches in terabyte-sized tables
Experience working at the L2 level, i.e., solving problems and maintaining processes in a production environment
Very good English skills (B2/C1)
