Job Responsibility:

  • Leading Vodafone Turkey IT Database operations mostly focusing on NoSQL databases (like MongoDB, PostGRE, Cansandra etc.) and Bigdata. working with application operations, solution, designers and architects.
  • Daily Operational Management of NoSQL Database and Bigdata Infrastructure
  • Enhancing the scalability and performance of existing database architecture.
  • Developing database structures and features according to organizational needs.
  • Hiring, supervising, and mentoring database teams.
  • Protecting data by developing data security and restoration policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Conducting diagnostic tests and evaluating performance metrics.
  • Developing procedures to ensure data integrity and quality.
  • Preparing and presenting system performance reports to senior managers.
  • Performing database maintenance, migration, and upgrading hardware and software.
  • Documenting processes and complying with best practices in database management.
  • Keeping up to date with developments and trends in database management.
  • Accountability for both individual and team performance management, including quality capture and assessment
  • Support the implementation of new products, services and projects
  • Carry out Training Needs Analysis for team members

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years database management experiences
  • At least 4 years experience in Opensource , Bigdata or other NOSQL technologies
  • At least 3 years experience in team management
  • In-depth knowledge of database technologies, architecture, and data security
  • Advanced analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong people leadership skills with a focus on developing operational capacity and taking accountability for service delivery and operational excellence.
