Job Description:

The Applications Development Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team
  • Contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities
  • Review the day to day delivery work, ensuring a robust process implementation, identifying project/program delivery risks and work on risk mitigation
  • Represent the organization to third parties
  • Applies skills and knowledge of the business to develop creative solutions to meet client and business needs
  • Work with complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting needs
  • Filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources
  • Technical hands on experience
  • React and provide quick turnaround to business requirements and management requests
  • Develop functional specification and technical design document
  • Support day-to-day BAU activities for Citi Private Bank On boarding/AML/KYC platform

Requirements:

  • Over 4+ years of experience in enterprise Web application development with Oracle as backend database and Java/J2EE technologies services
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience in working on complex and medium to large projects
  • Good understanding of SDLC and flair to follow the processes
  • Strong in Fine-tuned SQL queries in Oracle Database
  • Ability to write performance optimized PL/SQL codes using Collection, Pipelined functions, GTT
  • Good hands on in query performance tuning
  • Well versed in tools like SQL Developer
  • Must have basic knowledge of Explain Plan and other performance tuning tools
  • Should possess knowledge of Indexes, IOT, Partitions, Joins, Index Access methods
  • Basic Knowledge of Data Modelling
  • Should possess basic Unix knowledge to be able to write and understand basic shell scripts and basic Unix commands
  • Good architectural skills on Java/J2EE and Oracle based solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree (in science, computers, information technology or engineering)
  • Willing to work late in the evening India time on need basis

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Core Java, J2EE and WebLogic
  • Financial markets background
