Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Maryland. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and optimization of our database systems while supporting key operational and corporate functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate across departments and contribute to data-driven solutions.

Job Responsibility:

Design, implement, and maintain databases to support operational, billing, and corporate systems
Optimize and manage data warehouses, including indexing and metadata configuration
Integrate financial data with operational systems and oversee system upgrades and enhancements
Administer Power BI environments, ensuring access control, dashboard performance, and user training
Develop and enforce backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to safeguard data
Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and enhance system efficiency through query and index optimization
Collaborate with finance, operations, and data teams to deliver cohesive database solutions
Create and maintain technical documentation to support ongoing knowledge sharing and system improvements
Ensure data integrity, availability, and security across platforms through proactive monitoring and management
Identify opportunities for automation and system optimization to streamline processes

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Proven experience in database administration, with expertise in Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle
Proficiency in relational database systems and performance tuning techniques
Familiarity with data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake or Azure
Strong scripting skills for automation and data flow management using tools like SQL
Hands-on experience with Power BI administration, including workspace and access management
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Commitment to maintaining high standards of data security and compliance
