The successful candidate will work within one of our database support teams and will be focused and motivated with good interpersonal skills. Your role will include optimising and tuning database performance and assisting in database migration.\n\nRole responsibilities:\n\nInstalling and configuring database binaries\n\nWriting and maintaining scripts to automate DBA tasks\n\nInvestigating and implementing automation of processes\n\nPerform routine, periodic, and proactive operation and monitoring\n\nTroubleshoot database related issues\n\nPerform patching and upgrades to ensure data security\n\nWhat you will bring to the team:\n\nWillingness to both share your knowledge and learn from others\n\nA proactive approach towards looking for risks and problems\n\nAn ability to work both independently and in a team\n\nA willingness to investigate challenges and solve them\n\nGood organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills\n\nDesirable Skills and Technologies\n\nAdministration experience in a database technology such as Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc\n\nExperience of OS such as RHEL and Windows Server\n\nExperience in cloud technologies such as AWS and AWS database.\n\nMigrations into AWS\n\nExperience in Ansible\n\nKnowledge of database monitoring tools, such as OEM and Nagios\n\nExperience in scripting, such as Powershell and Bash\n\nKnowledge of database server clustering, failover, and disaster recovery\n\nExperience in database replication software, such as Data Guard, Replication Manager for PostgreSQL, and MongoDB ReplicaSets\n\nExperience in backup/recovery procedures and scripting
