We are looking for a detail-oriented Database Administrator to support fundraising operations through reliable database stewardship and reporting in Fairlee, Vermont. This Contract position focuses on maintaining and improving the performance of a Raiser’s Edge environment, helping teams manage donor information, gifts, event records, and outreach activity with accuracy and care. The role works closely with finance and internal stakeholders to uphold data quality, security, and compliance while supporting day-to-day database needs in a hybrid work setting.
Job Responsibility
Oversee the daily administration of the Raiser’s Edge database, keeping constituent and fundraising records complete, accurate, and current
Build and manage imports, queries, exports, and reports that support campaigns, development activity, events, and leadership reporting needs
Record and track donations, pledges, acknowledgements, and online contributions with a high level of precision and timeliness
Partner with finance staff to balance donation records, prepare supporting documentation, and assist with audit and tax-related reporting requirements
Establish and maintain standards for data entry, record management, and database governance to promote consistency across the organization
Coordinate event-related data activities, including registrations, participant records, and outcome reporting using Raiser’s Edge and associated online tools
Provide user support by answering questions, resolving system issues, and guiding staff on effective database practices
Safeguard sensitive information by monitoring system access, supporting database security practices, and helping ensure reliable system performance
Requirements
At least 3 years of hands-on experience administering Raiser’s Edge in a role requiring strong attention to detail
Strong capability in data management, including imports, list generation, reporting, and record maintenance
Working knowledge of Blackbaud tools, including Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for reporting, data review, and documentation
Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a consistent focus on accuracy and detail
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with finance, fundraising, and other internal teams
