Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage and optimize on-premise Oracle Autonomous Database (Oraas), MongoDB, and Big Data systems, with a focus on modernizing these databases to private cloud solutions. This role requires strong expertise in database administration, high availability, migration strategies, and cloud-based database services. Candidates with hands-on experience in Starburst, Iceberg, or Databricks are highly preferred.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and optimize on-premise databases (Oraas, MongoDB, Big Data)
  • Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning for both on-premise and cloud environments
  • Develop backup/recovery strategies and ensure compliance with security standards
  • Automate database management tasks to improve operational efficiency
  • Lead database migrations to AWS and GDP Database Services, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity
  • Monitor and manage cloud resources in AWS and GDP, ensuring scalability, cost-effectiveness, and security
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure successful cloud migrations and integrations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with Oracle Autonomous Database, MongoDB, and Big Data systems
  • Expertise in high availability, disaster recovery, performance tuning, and cloud integration
  • Strong background in migrating databases to AWS and GDP
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL, NoSQL, and cloud resource management
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

Hands-on experience in Starburst, Iceberg, or Databricks
