The DET is seeking to hire a Database Administrator for the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCI) Technology Services within the Division of Enterprise Technology (DET), Department of Administration. OCI's mission is to protect and educate Wisconsin consumers by maintaining and promoting a strong insurance industry. This position is responsible for providing principal technical expertise and leading, managing and supporting agency databases and database management system software.
Job Responsibility:
Providing principal technical expertise and leading, managing and supporting agency databases and database management system software
Providing support to OCI and other DET inter-division teams
Responsible for all data management and database related activities including database design, data architecture, implementation, and support
Responsible for database administration including database system capacity management, data organization, database tuning, database security, and meeting database service level availability and performance objectives
Server and client workstation database software installation and support, applications development support, data standards, project management, data movement processing, and technical documentation
Working with multiple groups of Department users in the definition, design, and implementation of solutions
Requirements:
Experience with design, creation, and maintenance of relational data models in an Oracle database
Experience with analysis of business data requirements, data profiling, and data cleansing
Experience with data quality and/or governance strategies, policies, standards, etc. and creating related technical documentation
Experience with design, implement and support data movement processing
Experience with scripting language such as Windows Command, Linux Shell, and/or Python
Experience with PL/SQL, SQL, and Python
