We are seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our SQL Server database environments. This role will be responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of enterprise databases while supporting development, reporting, and operational systems. The ideal candidate has strong experience with SQL Server administration, performance tuning, and database maintenance, and is comfortable working with cross-functional teams to support data-driven applications.
Job Responsibility:
Administer, monitor, and maintain SQL Server database environments to ensure performance, availability, and reliability
Manage database installations, configurations, upgrades, and patching
Perform database performance tuning and query optimization
Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Monitor database health, storage capacity, and system performance
Support database security, including user access, permissions, and data protection
Work with development and analytics teams to support database design and data access needs
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner
Assist with database migrations, upgrades, and system integrations
Maintain documentation for database architecture, standards, and operational procedures
Requirements:
4+ years of experience as a Database Administrator supporting Microsoft SQL Server
Strong experience with database performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Experience managing database backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning
Proficiency with T-SQL and query optimization
Understanding of database security, permissions, and data integrity best practices
Ability to work collaboratively with developers, analysts, and infrastructure teams
Nice to have:
Experience supporting high-availability environments (e.g., replication, clustering, or failover strategies)
Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing, or BI environments
Experience with cloud or hybrid database environments
Knowledge of scripting or automation for database administration tasks
