Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for z/OS DB2 system, application object and program product installation and management. Disaster recovery for the DB2 system and application objects is also required. Maintain and create the processes and procedures by which tasks / duties are performed.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide DB2 Database design and Implementation, configuration and planning
  • Perform SQL coding & tuning
  • Identifying problem determination & diagnosis
  • Provide Level 2 /3 support for all DB2 for zOS issues
  • Provide off-hour support, 7x24 coverage
  • Responsible for z/OS DB2 system, application object and program product installation and management
  • Disaster recovery for the DB2 system and application objects is also required
  • Maintain and create the processes and procedures by which tasks / duties are performed.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years minimum of z/OS DB2 DBA
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of DB2 for zOS functions and features
  • Maintain application life cycle management & participation in application DB2 object design
  • Administer DB2 Version 13 or 12 for DB2
  • Demonstrate experience with REXX programming skills
  • Extensive experience in BMC tools like BMC Change Manager, BMC Mainview, etc.
  • US Citizenship requirements- as this role supports services provided to the federal government and/or a federal government contractor, proof will be required to verify US citizenship status at time of hire.
