Job Responsibility:
Provide architecture development, design, implementation, upgrading, administration, and management for Enterprise and Standard Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) databases
Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Server in non-production environments
Provide strategic database recommendations for implementation of future database releases
Adhere to and implement recommended methodologies to enforce standardization and flexibility across the databases
Be capable of implementing physical data structures and automated database process programming that reach across both structured and unstructured data sources
Configure databases to provide a wide range of services for the ingesting, storage, access, analytics, and processing of data
Configure and administer High Availability Solutions like Database Mirroring, Replication, Log shipping, and multi-node 27 SQL Server clustering
Implement and support SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for the SAM application
Conduct capacity planning, performance testing, and tuning as needed
Monitor and report database metrics for decision making purposes on the lower environments
