The Database Admin Specialist Advisor role at NTT DATA involves managing SharePoint environments, both on-premise and online. This role requires a strong operational mindset, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage hybrid SharePoint architectures while ensuring platform stability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable supporting legacy on-premise infrastructure and modern cloud-based SharePoint Online solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Administer, maintain, and support SharePoint 2016 farm environments
Perform installation, configuration, patching (CUs/Service Packs), and upgrades
Manage SharePoint farm topology, service applications, web applications, and site collections
Monitor farm health, performance, and capacity planning
Manage backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures
Troubleshoot platform, search, workflow, and authentication issues
Support SQL Server integration and performance optimization
Maintain documentation including system architecture, SOPs, and runbooks
Support incident, problem, and change management processes
Administer SharePoint Online within Microsoft 365 tenant
Manage site collections, permissions, governance policies, and content lifecycle
Configure and manage hybrid connectivity between on-prem and SharePoint Online
Support OneDrive for Business and Teams integration
Implement retention policies, compliance features, and DLP configurations
Monitor tenant health and security alerts
Support migration activities between on-premise and SharePoint Online
Configure and manage PowerShell automation for administration tasks
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of SharePoint Administration experience
Bachelor's degree, One-and-one- half (1.5) years of additional experience can substitute for one (1) year of a typical degree program
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Nice to have:
Experience with SharePoint migrations (on-prem to Online)
Knowledge of Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
Experience with security hardening and STIG implementation
Familiarity with backup tools (e.g., Veeam, AvePoint, Metalogix)
Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-100, MS-101, or related)
