Job Description

Within SM.I.LE80 engineering organization we are looking for a Data Engineer / SQL developer who can actively and effectively contribute to the evolution of SM.I.LE80 product, bringing in his experience and willing to learn about the unique blend of robotics, software engineering, automation and networking we have. We do value teamwork, openness, transparency, respect and courage, playing together in a fully Agile environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Contribute to the design, development, optimization of our data storage, data pipeline, reporting & analytics solutions
  • Contribute to the setup and configuration HA/DR deployments
  • Contribute to the design, development and administration of our future cloud based offering

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in software/computer science engineering or equivalent
  • 10 years of working experience in the design, development and administration of relational databases - Microsoft SQLServer 2019+ and PostgreSQL
  • Proficiency with SQL & TSQL languages, including advanced topics, experience with OLTP & OLAP systems, isolation levels, recursion, etc
  • Proficiency with queries tuning & optimization tools and related techniques etc
  • Working experience with unit testing tools for SQL/TSQL
  • Windows SQLServer 2019+ DBA knowledge level, including experience with HA, DR and clustering configuration and administration
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools, semantic layers, transformation pipelines, streaming, other non relational DB, etc
  • Knowledge of and development experience with .Net/C# programming environment
  • Knowledge of and development experience with ORM frameworks, such as ER, Nhibernate, etc
  • Fluent English

Nice to have

  • Working experience within the industrial automation, telco or mission critical software is highly appreciated
  • Working experience with cloud hosted services (Azure, AWS, etc)
  • Working experience with Bi/Analytics platforms
  • Proficiency with other programming or scripting languages such as Python, Powershell, Bash shell etc
  • Hands-on with Git, Git-flow, etc
