Job Description:

Intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

Job Responsibility:

Report on risks when business decisions are made and escalating, managing and reporting control issues
Analyze, filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic datasets from multiple sources using SQL/Python programming expertise
Build project documentation Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, Architecture Flows, Test Use Cases
Contribute to technical and functional direction and strategic discussions
Deliver meeting actions in timely manner and ensure all owners are on track
Draft architecture, strategy, planning, and problem-solving solutions on an enterprise level
Coordinate data models to be onboarded or enhanced
Deliver impact analysis and coordinated UAT/PROD efforts for changes to existing systems/data flows
Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams and heavily involved in coaching and training of new team members
Implement metadata driven frameworks for data processing/transformation and build real-time processing solutions
Identify and apply optimization techniques to improve technology performance
Coordinate across teams, vendors and business stakeholders to align work efforts
Execute SQL/Python data analysis and writing complex logics using analytical functions
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made

Requirements:

5+ years relevant experience in data engineering solutions for large scale initiatives
Experience managing large and global teams
IT Projects Design and Development
Enterprise Architecture
Data & Database Architecture
Project Management
Software Development Life Cycle
Technical: SQL, Python, Kafka, Cloud, Oracle, Hive, Impala
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio+), JIRA, Confluence
Knowledge of Capital Markets (Equities and respective Derivatives, Fixed Income, Commodities), Wholesale Banking, Treasury Functions, Financial Reporting, Risk Management preferred
Knowledge of technology solutions in Banking or Trading Book products preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to prioritize important tasks and manage time efficiently
Well-versed experience in Program or Project Management
Ability to develop and foster working relationships with key Business stakeholders
Ability to manage changing priorities under high pressure environment
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

Knowledge of Capital Markets (Equities and respective Derivatives, Fixed Income, Commodities), Wholesale Banking, Treasury Functions, Financial Reporting, Risk Management
Knowledge of technology solutions in Banking or Trading Book products
