The Data Solutions Analyst Derivatives is responsible for contributing to the directional strategy and assisting in creation and modification of Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and Control Framework and Data Risk Taxonomy. The focus of this role may be on one or more of the following areas: assisting in identification, measurement and reporting, data policy adoption and compliance, data controls framework performance and issue management process, and regulatory and audit response and action tracking. We are seeking a Capital Markets–focused finance and risk professional with strong derivatives knowledge and exceptional analytical and data storytelling skills. This role sits at the intersection of capital markets activity, data, finance, and risk, translating complex derivative portfolios into meaningful insights that support risk management, financial reporting, and business decision‑making. The ideal candidate understands not only how derivatives function in the market, but also how derivative data flows through financial and risk systems, how it is measured, reported, and ultimately used by the firm.
Job Responsibility:
Contribute to directional strategy and assist in creation and modification of Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and Control Framework and Data Risk Taxonomy
Assist in identification, measurement and reporting, data policy adoption and compliance, data controls framework performance and issue management process, and regulatory and audit response and action tracking
Translate derivative trade and valuation data into finance and risk-relevant metrics
Support analysis related to Risk-weighted assets (RWA), Exposure at Default (EAD), counterparty and market risk measures
Understand how derivative exposures impact financial reporting, regulatory capital, and management reporting
Partner with risk, finance, and other control functions to ensure consistency and accuracy across reporting outputs
Convert business or risk questions into structured analytical approaches using data (spreadsheets, databases, reports)
Translate quantitative results into clear, concise narratives
Move fluidly between technical detail and business context when communicating with diverse stakeholders
Requirements:
6-10 years relevant experience in a Data Governance/ Data Management/ Process Engineering or related area
Ability to monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes, with the ability to anticipate and balance needs of multiple stakeholders
Ability to communicate effectively to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
