The Data Sector Partner will serve as a trusted advisor, establishing long-term partnerships with clients and sector teams. This role involves managing a portfolio exceeding £5M, pursuing new business opportunities, and leveraging technical expertise to drive data initiatives. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in professional services, with a strong background in sales and data projects.
Job Responsibility:
Establish and nurture a strategic, long-term partnership with sector teams and their clients through continuous engagement, gaining insights into their industry, challenges, and strategies
Take a leading role (in conjunction with sector client partners/sales execs), in pursuing new business opportunities and expanding offerings for clients
Work with the Data team, including enterprise architects and programme managers, to scope, design, plan and cost Data engagements
Effectively manage a portfolio exceeding £5M, with a focus on achieving growth targets
Formulate and execute sector and/or client business plans to drive success
Lead in the deal-shaping process, delivering compelling presentations to customers, and expanding the business footprint
Leverage technical expertise, leadership ability, and strategic thinking to drive data initiatives
Engage with C-suite and senior leadership to strengthen relationships
Maintain a utilization target of 20% with the remainder of your time focused on pre-sales activity
Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, fostering the development of emerging leaders
Requirements:
15+ years of dedicated service in the professional services industry
12+ years of proven track record in sales, pre-sales, account or client management roles
10+ years exemplary financial expertise in areas such as P&L management and deal structuring
10+ years in leading or contributing to end-to-end data projects
10+ years involvement in heavy engineering and manufacturing in its broadest sense
Nice to have:
Extensive data and analytics background in enterprise settings, focusing on data and AI solutions
Demonstrated history of achieving high levels of client and employee satisfaction
Proficient in developing and executing account strategies
Experience in diverse environments, including "Big 4" Management Consulting or GSI’s
Proven success and a keen interest in leading and managing team
