Data Scientist | 12-Month Fixed Term | Auckland Join a leading New Zealand consumer brand as a Data Scientist, where you'll turn complex data into smart decisions. You'll design models, run experiments, and uncover the insights that shape strategy across the business.

Job Responsibility

  • Build product recommendation and next-best-action models to personalise customer experiences
  • Develop predictive models and time-series forecasts to drive product performance
  • Refine existing models and explore deep learning techniques
  • Analyse sales, trends, and customer behaviour to deliver actionable insights
  • Create compelling data visualisations and present findings to senior leaders
  • Partner across the business to grow our Data Science capability

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar data science role
  • Strong skills in R and/or Python, SQL, and big data platforms (e.g. Apache Spark)
  • Hands-on experience with ML frameworks
  • Practical knowledge of time-series forecasting and financial modelling
  • A degree in Applied Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, AI, or Engineering Science
  • A curious mind, strong communicator, and confident problem solver
  • Applicants must have full working right in New Zealand
