Our Markets Funding and Liquidity desk is seeking a Data Scientist to join the first line of defense and contribute to a broad range of activities across the desk’s global remit. The Funding and Liquidity Desk is responsible for reviewing and strengthening funding and liquidity arrangements across all Markets product lines. Acting as a central hub for funding costs and liquidity strategy, the team collaborates with partners across Markets and Corporate Treasury to design transparent processes that allocate marginal costs and benefits effectively, and to help optimize business structures for stronger returns. A key part of the role involves analyzing, presenting, and sharing liquidity‑related data using Tableau and other tools. The goal is to build transparency, make insights widely accessible, and empower users across the business to leverage data effectively. This role reports to a London‑based manager and involves close collaboration with colleagues in London and New York.
Job Responsibility:
Implement new and enhanced business processes to support a standardized and transparent secured transfer pricing framework
Identify and ensure resolution of system and control issues, contributing to a robust, efficient, and scalable business model across all traded asset classes
Participate in business‑driven, cross‑functional projects, supporting implementation and working closely with key stakeholders
Drive enhancements to technology, processes, and control frameworks
Build and manage Tableau dashboards and visualizations focused on liquidity and related datasets, translating insights into actionable recommendations
Provide analytical support to product desks and other business partners
Improve data quality: partner with Markets Quantitative Analysis and IT to integrate Front Office liquidity and transfer pricing views into core datasets
Enable users to perform their own analysis and gather feedback through ongoing collaboration with trading and structuring teams
Requirements:
Experience working with data analytics on large datasets, ideally within Financial Markets
Proven ability to analyze business needs, build visualizations, and resolve complex data quality and integration challenges
Strong SQL and Tableau skills
Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities, with excellent attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within and across teams
Ability to learn quickly, think creatively, and approach challenges with a problem‑solving mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to have:
Experience with Python or other programming languages is a plus
Comfort with derivatives modelling concepts is preferred
