Job Description:

The Data Scientist role at NTT DATA involves leveraging data science and machine learning expertise to drive insights and uncover business opportunities. Candidates should have a strong foundation in statistics, data visualization, and programming languages such as Python and R. A master's degree is preferred, along with 4+ years of experience in data science projects. Responsibilities include analyzing complex data sets, developing analytic models, and collaborating with stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Driving new data insights to uncover business opportunities & revenue streams
  • Have a firm understanding of statistics and data visualization for communication
  • Understand business growth areas and how to utilize important data
  • Identify new analytic trends/data needs and repeatable analytic solutions
  • Work with key stakeholders to generate hypotheses and create analytic models that answer impactful business questions
  • Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using various supervised and unsupervised ML algorithms
  • Be experienced in Data Wrangling and Dynamic Model Tuning
  • Working on projects leveraging expertise in data science, artificial-intelligence and machine learning
  • Assist in breaking down complex business problems, developing solutions, and delivering with high focus on client satisfaction
  • Conduct market research, develop a point-of-view and communicate effectively
  • Bring innovative thinking and creativity to achieve successful client outcomes
  • Establish relationships with clients
  • Work with data sets of varying degrees of size and complexity
  • Pipe and process massive data-streams in distributed computing environments
  • Implement batch and real-time model scoring
  • Assemble large, complex data sets
  • Apply business knowledge to analyze data, develop reports and solve problems
  • Perform ad hoc analyses of data
  • Participate in analysis and resolution of issues related to information flow and content

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience supporting data science projects in a consulting environment
  • 4+ year(s) of experience participating in projects that focused on one or more of the following areas: Predictive Analytics, Data Design, Statistics, AI/ML, ML Ops
  • 3+ years of experience using Python and/or R to analyze disparate datasets
  • Ability to travel at least 25%

Nice to have:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Exercises sound judgment with minimal support from practice executives through structured problem identification, mitigation, and resolution
  • Team player with excellent work ethic, flexible 'can-do' attitude, commitment to success
  • Professional verbal and written communication
  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree preferred
