The Data Scientist will be responsible for driving innovation in our business and value add proposition to our insurer partners. This will be achieved through the analysis of large and complex data sets to generate actionable insights that inform and support business decision-making. The role involves close collaboration with teams across the organisation to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that improve data quality, accessibility, and utilisation.
Job Responsibility:
Collect, process, and analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
Design, develop, and implement data models and algorithms to address complex business challenges
Work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver data‑driven solutions
Create, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports to clearly visualise key insights and performance metrics
Ensure data accuracy, quality, and integrity by embedding best practice data management principles
Build, validate, and monitor predictive models to support decision‑making and increase business confidence
Stay informed of emerging trends, tools, and technologies within data science and analytics
Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across Carpenters Group and external partners
Requirements:
Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
Proven experience in data analysis, statistical modelling, and machine learning
Strong skills in Python, R, and/or SQL
Experience with Power BI and data visualisation, translating business needs into actionable insights
Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Experience with big data technologies and data warehousing/ETL processes
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
