Data Scientist

• Analyze potential solutions in tandem with Technology and Data Scientist partners, help them to determine financial and strategic impact, and contribute with advice towards the prioritization and development of detailed implementation plans
• Identify areas of focus to drive business optimization through insightful analysis of Finance and Controllers’ processes focusing on Regulatory Reporting
• Independently query data from multiple relational databases to validate requirements utilizing Excel, SQL and/or Python
• Collaborate with team members, technology partners, and business partners to identify efficient and strategic solutions
• Manage transformative initiatives that impact multiple LOBs and/or products
• Define key outcomes for the project and ensure clear communication and agreement with relevant stakeholders
• Communicate closely with business and technology partners to define requirements and create solutions
• Lead projects end-to-end, driving solutions through data analysis and assessing AI project implementation
• Appropriately assess risk and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

• 6 - 10 years of experience executing and supporting projects in Data or Business Analytics, Banking Consultancy, major Data Driven technology implementations or similar complex initiatives
• Experience working with financial data and baseline understanding of financial instruments, especially those related to loans
• An understanding of financial & regulatory reporting, and/or credit risk management
• Experience in analytics utilizing relational databases with SQL tools
• Experience working closely with IT and development teams
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint
• Foundational knowledge of Python a plus
