Job Description:

The Data Scientist role at NTT DATA involves leveraging data science and machine learning expertise to drive insights and uncover business opportunities. Candidates should have a strong background in statistics, data visualization, and experience with Python or R. A Master's degree is preferred, along with 4+ years of experience in data science projects. Responsibilities include analyzing complex data sets, developing analytic models, and collaborating with stakeholders to address business challenges.

Job Responsibility:

  • Driving new data insights to uncover business opportunities & revenue streams
  • Identifying new analytic trends/ data needs and repeatable analytic solutions
  • Working with key stakeholders to generate hypotheses and create analytic models that answer impactful business questions
  • Identifying, analyzing and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets using various supervised and unsupervised ML algorithms such as regression, classification or clustering ML approaches where applicable
  • Working on projects leveraging your expertise in data science, artificial-intelligence and machine learning
  • Assist in breaking down complex business problems, developing solutions, and delivering with a high degree of focus on client satisfaction
  • Conduct market research, develop a point-of-view and communicate effectively back to clients and stakeholders
  • Bring innovative thinking, resourcefulness leveraging best practices and creativity to achieve successful client outcomes
  • Establish relationships with our clients at the appropriate levels, gain an understanding of the project work and problems encountered
  • Work with data sets of varying degrees of size and complexity including both structured and unstructured data
  • Piping and processing massive data-streams in distributed computing environments
  • Implement batch and real-time model scoring
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
  • Apply business knowledge to analyze data, develop reports and solve problems
  • Perform ad hoc analyses of data depending on business needs
  • Participate in the analysis and resolution of issues related to information flow and content with data stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience supporting data science projects in a consulting environment
  • 4+ year(s) of experience participating in projects that focused on one or more of the following areas: Predictive Analytics, Data Design, Statistics, AI/ML, ML Ops
  • 3+ years of experience using Python and/or R to analyze disparate datasets
  • Ability to travel at least 25%
  • Firm understanding of statistics and data visualization for communication
  • Understanding of business growth areas & how to utilize important data
  • Experience in Data Wrangling and Dynamic Model Tuning

Nice to have:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Exercises sound judgment with minimal support from practice executives through structured problem identification, mitigation, and resolution
  • Team player that is a consistent, dependable performer with an excellent work ethic, flexible "can-do" attitude, and a commitment to success
  • Professional verbal and written communication
  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree preferred
