The Data Scientist role at NTT DATA involves leveraging data science and machine learning expertise to drive insights and develop analytic models. Candidates should have a strong background in statistics, data visualization, and programming languages such as Python and R, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a consulting environment. A Master's degree is preferred, and the role requires effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Driving new data insights to uncover business opportunities & revenue streams
Identifying new analytic trends/ data needs and repeatable analytic solutions
Working with key stakeholders to generate hypotheses and create analytic models that answer impactful business questions
Identifying, analyzing and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets using various supervised and unsupervised ML algorithms such as regression, classification or clustering ML approaches where applicable
Working on projects leveraging expertise in data science, artificial-intelligence and machine learning
Assisting in breaking down complex business problems, developing solutions, and delivering with a high degree of focus on client satisfaction
Conducting market research, developing a point-of-view and communicating effectively back to clients and stakeholders
Bringing innovative thinking, resourcefulness leveraging best practices and creativity to achieve successful client outcomes
Establishing relationships with our clients at the appropriate levels, gaining an understanding of the project work and problems encountered
Requirements:
4+ years of experience supporting data science projects in a consulting environment
4+ year(s) of experience participating in projects focused on Predictive Analytics, Data Design, Statistics, AI/ML, or ML Ops
3+ years of experience using Python and/or R to analyze disparate datasets
Ability to travel at least 25%
Strong background in statistics and data visualization
Firm understanding of business growth areas & how to utilize important data
Experience in Data Wrangling and Dynamic Model Tuning
Experience working with data sets of varying degrees of size and complexity including both structured and unstructured data
Experience piping and processing massive data-streams in distributed computing environments
Experience implementing batch and real-time model scoring
Experience assembling large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
Ability to apply business knowledge to analyze data, develop reports and solve problems
Ability to perform ad hoc analyses of data depending on business needs
Ability to participate in the analysis and resolution of issues related to information flow and content with data stakeholders
Nice to have:
Master’s degree preferred
